Lab Technician – recent Graduate or Second Jobber
Duration: 6 Months Minimum
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Pay: £13.00 per hour (with scope to increase after 6 months)
Start Dates & Hours: Immediate - Monday–Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)

Our client, a global name in the health and wellbeing industry, is seeking a bright, analytical individual to join their laboratory technical team on a 6-month temporary contract. You'll be based 100% in the lab, supporting the preparation and measurement of raw materials that go into cutting-edge product development.
If you're methodical, curious, and confident using lab equipment – this could be the perfect step into the industry.
What you’ll be doing:
• Measuring, compounding, and preparing raw materials following standard lab practices
• Working to specific targets using in-house software for specific measurement and instructions
• Handling materials safely and accurately – precision is key!
• Supporting the wider team with quality checks and inventory rotation
• Ensuring a clean, organised and safety-compliant workspace at all times
What you’ll need:
• A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Science, or a related field OR demonstrable hands-on experience within a laboratory
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
• Comfortable working at pace, but also thorough and accurate
• A team player with a flexible mindset and can-do attitude
• Understanding of lab best practice and confident handling equipment
