Our History
Uxbridge Employment Agency is, without doubt, the oldest established recruitment agency in Uxbridge, tracing its roots back to the giddy, Charleston 1930’s where from its chintzy Vine Street offices it was the sole provider of recruitment services based in Uxbridge, whilst at the same time offering a much sought after typing and duplication service to the burgeoning business community of this flourishing market town.
It is our proud boast that in all that time and against a traditionally high turnover in the recruitment agency field, the only change in the ownership of this niche employment agency came in 1978 following the death of its founder when the present owners took over.
Their philosophy then, as now, was simply to offer an empathetic recruitment service to the good people of Uxbridge based on giving their recruitment needs, whether as clients or candidates, our full and undivided attention to make our service vastly more different, and human, from the perception held by many that they are just a commodity in the tidal flow of the recruitment market.
This longevity and basic philosophy is reflected in the tenure of colleagues here at Uxbridge Employment who have committed decades of their careers to helping place a multitude of square pegs in very square holes extending now to placing the children and grandchildren of people first placed during those early days of the late seventies – truly people in a people business!
