One of most successful clients are currently recruiting for a Facilities and H&S Manager on a permanent basis.
Only the most organised and "on the ball" Managers will do for this company so if you've managed 3rd party supplier contracts, managed exterior maintenance workers and even screwed in a new light bulb or two yourself then we'd love to hear from you.

Salary of £35K
Hours 08.00-16.30
Facilities and H&S Officer
Maintenance of building:
• Managing air conditioning units
• Main contact with Landlord re: any maintenance issues and problem resolution with the landlord
• Managing routine maintenance e.g. light bulbs, power issues etc…
• Direct Management of 3rd Party Maintenance staff
• Ensuring facilities is up to date with H&S and relevant legislation
• Raise work permits
• Check that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed
• Deal with emergencies and urgent issues as they arise
Building Security:
• Allocating security passes
• Managing audits and contracts in compliance
• Informing other staff of how to raise work permits for contractors
Catering and vending:
• Maintain upkeep of kitchen equipment either via Handyman or specialist 3rd party maintenance/engineers
• Safety of equipment - PAT testing, GAS safety via 3rd parties
• Managing catering reviews every month
Procurement and Contract Management:
• Managed Services - post room, deliveries/goods in, catering, Utility suppliers
• Manage facilities budgets for services and small maintenance contracts
Cleaning:
• Managing 3rd party supplier and contracts/tenders, conduct quarterly reviews with suppliers
Space Management:
• Provide and coordinate off-site storage if required
• Tender for furniture supply, fit out, infrastructure changes
• Administration management of contractors
• Project manage, supervise and coordinate work of 3rd party contractors
• Manage change to minimise disruption to the business
Environmental:
• Coordinate tenders and contracts for general waste, recyclables and food waste
• Coordinate reminders to staff regarding waste processes
Health & Safety:
• Manage and coordinate Maternity Risk Assessments and follow up.
• Manage and coordinate risk assessments i.e. workstation assessments and building assessments as required.
• Maintain and report accident log according to legal guidelines and regulations
• Maintain and review H&S Manual, as well as all other guideline materials
• Carry out the role of Fire Officer - ensuring appropriate amount of trained Fire Wardens for site and process is up to date
• Ensure appropriate number of First Aiders are trained for the site and names listed
Requirements
• Ideally GCSE or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English
• Previous experience of managing facilities in predominantly an office environment
• Capable of undertaking hands-on, manual work
• Influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Procurement and tender/contract set up experience
• Multitasking and prioritising skills
• Administration skills
• Time Management and Project Management skills
• Confident decision making with a practical and flexible approach
• Proven ability to write and review procedures and processes
• Full Driving License required, if travelling between sites
