Gate Automation Engineer
Location: Uxbridge
Rate: £180 - £200 per day

Are you a skilled engineer with experience in gate automation systems? We have an exciting opportunity for a Gate Automation Engineer to join a leading maintenance company based near Uxbridge. This is an immediate requirement and a chance to join a well-respected, trusted company providing gate and door automation services.
About the Role: You will be responsible for fault finding, repair, and maintenance of various gate automation systems. Your role will involve assessing safety, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards for the systems in place. You will need to be comfortable with basic electrics/electronics and possess welding experience for minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fault find and repair gate electronic automation systems.
- Carry out welding repairs to steel gate frames and operators.
- Assess risk and force test automated gate and door systems.
- Work with various gate automation systems, understanding safety system electronics and general operation.
- Complete all job tasks using a provided mobile app for seamless reporting and communication.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Basic knowledge of electrics/electronics (necessary for fault finding).
- Experience with gate automation systems (knowledge of multiple manufacturers preferred).
- Ability to understand safety systems, including optical and resistive systems.
- Welding experience for steel gate repair.
- Gate Safe DHF certification is desirable (training will be provided if needed).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset.
