Credit Controller
Type: Permanent
Salary: £30,400 per annum plus performance-related bonus, with OTE around £42,000
Location: Uxbridge
Working pattern: Hybrid working
Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team in a varied role combining debt collection, account management and regular client contact.
This position would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of their accounts, building positive working relationships and keeping on top of priorities in a fast-moving environment. You will play an important part in reducing overdue debt while ensuring customer accounts remain accurate and well managed.

The Role:
- Managing overdue accounts and following up outstanding payments
- Liaising with customers to ensure agreed credit terms are met
- Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
- Processing credits and obtaining the necessary authorisations
- Creating and monitoring account action plans
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account records
- Contributing to regular reviews of overdue accounts and agreeing appropriate next steps
- Supporting formal debt-recovery processes where required and in line with relevant procedures
- Working closely with colleagues to support effective credit control across the business
The ideal Credit Controller will have:
- Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
- Confidence managing overdue debt and customer accounts
- Strong numerical and literacy skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using customer databases or finance systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage your own workload effectively
- Confident and professional communication skills
- A positive approach to building customer relationships while maintaining appropriate credit-control boundaries
