Part-Time Caretaker
Location: Beaconsfield
Salary: £12,000 per annum (based on 2 days per week, equivalent to £30,000 full-time)
Hours: 2 days a week, flexibility on days worked
Are you an experienced plumber, tradesperson, or caretaker looking for part-time work? We have a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly Facilities team within a successful organisation with three office sites.
You will primarily be based in Beaconsfield, with occasional travel to two other locations for monthly health and safety checks. For this reason, a full driving licence and own transport are essential.
Key Duties:
- Walk the office boundaries and ensure everything is in order.
- Inspect and maintain car parks, including reporting obstructions or damage.
- Check and maintain fire escape doors, locks, and pathways, conducting handy work like fixing drawers or tightening screws.
- Inspect carpets, replacing them as needed.
- Replace bulbs and check for electrical wear.
- Inspect roofs and repair any missing or damaged tiles.
- Conduct water temperature checks and flushing to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist with deliveries and office portage.
- Perform regular fire alarm tests and emergency lighting checks.
- Support office moves and assist with painting or decorating as required.
- Maintain spreadsheets with up-to-date records.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to complete tasks efficiently. A friendly and approachable demeanour is a must, alongside a good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualifications (desirable but not essential).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Competence in basic building repairs and the use of small equipment.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills for record keeping.
- Full driving licence and own car, with confidence to drive larger vehicles (e.g., Luton vans).
