Maintenance Operative
Location: Ascot
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are working with a lovely local business who are seeking a hands-on and dependable Maintenance Operative to help keep their workplace running smoothly and looking its best. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in a maintenance or facilities environment who enjoys varied, practical work and being part of a supportive team.
Based at a well-maintained office site in Ascot, you’ll be responsible for general maintenance duties across the buildings and grounds (note: no gardening). You’ll need to be someone who’s proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of working on your own initiative.
Key responsibilities:
– Carrying out day-to-day repairs and general upkeep across office buildings and external areas
– Performing regular inspections and responding to maintenance tickets quickly and efficiently
– Safely moving furniture and heavy items using lifting aids where necessary
– Liaising with external contractors and suppliers when needed
– Maintaining a safe, clean and well-functioning environment for all staff
– Working independently while contributing to a wider facilities and admin support team
What we’re looking for:
– Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaking or facilities-based role
– A valid UK driving licence (essential)
– Ideally holds a City & Guilds qualification or similar in a relevant trade
– Confident using basic tools and equipment and working to Health & Safety standards
– Proactive and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
– Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills
– Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
