Driver / Warehouse Technician
Salary: £30,000
Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex
Our client, a well-established and growing specialist supplier, is seeking a dependable Driver / Warehouse Technician to join their team in Uxbridge. This is a varied and hands-on role combining delivery responsibilities with warehouse operations, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of practical work, customer interaction, and teamwork.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement, storage, and delivery of goods, while maintaining high standards of service when interacting with clients.
The role:
This position combines driving and warehouse duties, requiring a proactive individual who is organised, flexible, and committed to maintaining high operational and customer service standards.
Duties include:
Delivering and collecting goods safely and efficiently using a company-provided vehicle
Acting as a professional ambassador when visiting client sites
Providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships
Planning and managing delivery routes to meet deadlines
Loading and unloading vehicles in line with health and safety procedures
Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch
Receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming deliveries
Maintaining organised warehouse storage areas and stock locations
Completing delivery documentation and supporting stock control records
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties as required
Working hours:
40 hours per week
Occasional early morning or late evening deliveries may be required
Flexibility is recognised, with adjustments made to maintain a fair work-life balance
Experience/skills required:
Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points)
Previous experience driving Luton vans or similar vehicles is advantageous
Experience within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment preferred
Forklift Counterbalance licence desirable (training may be provided)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Professional and confident when interacting with clients
Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
