Technical Warehouse Team Leader

Salary: Circa £37,000 per annum, depending on experience

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Warehouse Team Leader to join a busy specialist equipment operation in West London.
This is a practical senior warehouse role combining day-to-day operational responsibility with team support and coordination. You will remain closely involved in the physical operation while helping organise activity, maintain standards and make sure work is completed efficiently.
The role
You will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, helping coordinate equipment movement, order preparation and the processing of returned items.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Helping organise daily warehouse activity and allocating work across the team
- Supporting the preparation, checking and movement of specialist equipment
- Making sure outgoing orders are accurate and ready when required
- Overseeing the correct receipt and processing of returned items
- Maintaining good stock accuracy and warehouse organisation
- Supporting quality standards across equipment moving through the operation
- Providing practical guidance to other warehouse team members
- Helping less experienced colleagues develop their knowledge and confidence
- Supporting safe loading, unloading and general equipment handling
- Assisting with the smooth flow of work during busy periods
This is not a purely supervisory position. You should expect to be directly involved in the warehouse operation and comfortable working alongside the team.
What we are looking for
Previous experience working with professional sound, video, lighting, staging or related production equipment is essential for this role.
That experience may have been gained within technical production, equipment hire, live events, broadcast, staging or another closely related specialist environment.
You should also have strong warehouse experience and be confident dealing with stock control, equipment preparation, order checking and accurate record keeping.
Previous experience helping lead, guide or coordinate other warehouse staff is important.
Experience using forklifts or other powered materials-handling equipment is also required.
Familiarity with warehouse, stock or order-management systems would be useful, together with good general computer skills.
A reasonable standard of general education is required.
This could suit someone currently working as a Technical Warehouse Team Leader, Senior Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Supervisor or experienced Technical Warehouse Operative who is ready to take on broader responsibility while remaining hands-on.
